An improved form of the Tahitian, or West Indian Lime; Sublime 
(Citrus aurantifolia) is a brilliant Lime tree for smaller gardens, pots and makes a fantastic patio plant.
Virtually thornless and compact, Sublime grows well in a large pot and produces massed of full sized juicy fruit making this the ultimate productive pot plant.
Well suited to Australian conditions, this citrus prefers a sheltered position in cooler climates. Growing into an attractive small tree, the fragrant creamy white flowers have a strong citrus fragrance and the attractive large green leaves exude a citrus fragrance when crushed.
Fruit production is at it’s peak during the cooler months; with the thin skinned round seedless fruit best picked when it is dark green as it can rot if left on the tree to turn lemon yellow.
Like all citrus, Limes prefer a warmer climate and a full sun position in well drained soil. Water regularly to get the plant established then regular waterings during the warmer months and as the fruit is forming. If growing in a pots ensure a good quality potting mix is used and the plant does not endure dry periods during the warmer months as the quality of the fruit will be affected. Fertilise regularly using a citrus fertiliser, following the manufacturers recommendations.
